EK 570 Rosin Ester Dispersion in Pressure Sensitive Adhesives
Chemical Properties
EK 570 is an aqueous, 49-51% solids, solvent free, anionic rosin ester dispersion. Rosin Ester Dispersion is recommended as a tackifier for acrylic latex polymers used in label, tape, and construction applications. As a modifier for acrylic latexes in pressure sensitive adhesive applications. EK 570 enhances specific adhesion to polyolefin substrates and recycled corrugated board. It promotes high peel and tack in waterborne PSAs and provides broad utility as a general purpose acrylic PSA tackifier.

Character
Compatible with acrylic, vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE), polyvinyl acetate, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), polychloroprene (neoprene) and natural rubber latexes. When mixed with cationic substances, this dispersion may precipitate. When strongly alkaline or acidic additives are added to the dispersion, gross localized pH-variations should be avoided, as these can lead to destabilization and grit formation.
